In 2007, DCM programs provided these services:

Decatur Cooperative Ministry served 1,834 people in 2007.

Family Transitional Housing: provided a home for 15 families made up of 17 parents and 37 children.

Hagar's House: sheltered 53 families made up of 53 mothers and 134 children.

Project Take Charge: served a total of 1,593 individuals. PTC prevented homelessness or utilities disconnection for 202 households and provided food for an additional 403 households.

During 2007, volunteers gave 11,812 hours of service to DCM and its ministries. These hours are valued at $158,148.

Volunteers supported DCM by:: Serving meals for Family Transitional Housing and Hagar's House; Holding financial management sessions; Helping children with homework; Assisting in the offices and the shelter; Working on the newsletter; Helping with fundraising, child care, and building and yard maintenance

Volunteer hours for professional services such as legal work and computer repair are valued at their market rate. All other volunteer hours are valued at $12 per hour.

In-kind donations during 2007 are valued at $138,328.

Many organizations, groups, and individuals generously provided items including:: Furniture and appliances; Household items such as linens and toiletries; Office equipment and supplies; decorations and other items for events; Toys and gifts for clients; Food

Decatur Cooperative Ministry is an ecumenical agency of over 35 congregations from 12 denominations. People and congregations of all faiths are welcomed as partners. DCM works in conjunction with schools and educational institutions, government agencies, businesses, civic organizations, and community groups. Services, employment opportunities, and volunteer opportunities are open to all qualified applicants, and DCM does not practice or tolerate any form of discrimination based on religion, race, physical ability, gender, or age.
